ESTIMATOR

Position Overview

 

Meridian Restoration, Inc. is seeking Estimators in the Greater Atlanta, GA area. Estimators at
Meridian are responsible for selling, estimating, planning, directing, coordinating, budgeting,
scheduling, and overseeing all activities concerned with the restoration, reconstruction, and
contents of projects assigned to them.

Compensation

  • Annual Salary Ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 per year depending on experience.

  • Monthly Bonuses

  • Monthly truck allowance of $600

Essential Functions

 

As a Meridian Restoration Estimator, you will ensure accurate estimates and contracts are
completed in a timely manner. You will deal with the adjuster and policy holder on all
administrative tasks during the project. You will ensure the projects are completed on time, on-
budget, and within insurance guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Meet Mitigation Project Manager on-site to meet homeowner, discuss scope, gather
    Itels, signed authorizations, Hover Reports, Engineering details, and Docusketch of the
    property.

  2. Write estimates, create budget, and coordinate with PM on job start and timeline.

  3. Assist with notes, Xactanalysis updates and email correspondence with adjuster.

  4. Writing and finalizing contacts with Policy holder.

  5. Creating a budget for selections for homeowner and project manager.

  6. Manage collection process and do AR meetings with Office Managers.

  7. Be very proficient in Xactimate, Xactanalysis, and Dash along with keeping them all up
    to date through the process of the project.

  8. Preparing supplements, change orders, and additional work orders.

  9. Obtaining approval from adjusters and communicating with adjusters about supplements
    or timelines/delays.

  10. Marketing and new revenue growth from field adjuster or other industry relationships.

  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by management.

Work Environment

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically sitting, either in a vehicle or at a
desk, as most of the time is spent driving or working inside the office. The employee is
occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level
in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is often performed in outside
weather conditions.

 

 

Physical Demands

 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is often required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally required to climb
or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to
25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required
by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

 

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are (at minimum) Monday through Friday,
7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and often requires longer hours and weekend work. Also requires being
part of an on-call rotation for weekends and holidays.

 

 

Travel 

 

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and occasional
overnight travel may be expected.


Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred Education and Experience 

  • College degree or trade school training
    Construction industry experience

  • Building and Repair Experience

  • Xactimate software experience

Work Authorization Requirements

Must pass driving record, background, and drug screenings.
